AI USE IN OUR COMMUNITY NEEDS TO GO

IF YOU CAN'T TELL THAT THIS IMAGE IS AI, PAY ATTENTION!
You are living in a world of bitcoin, NFTs, and AI generated images. This is innovative technology, yes, and it is currently evolving at a rapid pace, sure. That does not excuse the massive environmental and moral implications of widespread AI use. Corporations try to use AI to replace the filming process, fire actors, photographers, writers, moderators, and much more. Not only are corporations attempting to use AI to replace human work and minimize their own expenses, the ai models they use are trained through THOUSANDS of examples of stolen art, photography, filmography, literature, and personal images without consent. IS THAT PUNK? Almost, if not all AI models you may use or see in your daily life are TRAINED, at least to some degree, USING DATA COLLECTED WITHOUT CONSENT. Without a massive pool of data, AI would be incompetent. AI is being used to benefit capitalism, politically misinform the public (as seen regarding the recent LA Protests,) build echo-chambers of encouragement, and pollute the internet with horrible ai generated "memes" and "trends" on social media. AGAIN, IS THAT PUNK? AI is already in our search engines, our phones, and our advertisements. Why are we allowing AI in our communities whose entire reason for existence is to combat consumerism, fascism, and encourage supporting one another, when the very structure AI is built on at best is removing jobs and allowing misinformation to spread like wildfire?

AI is CHEAP, BLIND, and cannot do anything better than a human has already done. AI CHATBOTS can't even reliably do math! The use of AI infiltrating spaces meant for ARTISTS is a spit in the face of anyone who has ever tried learning an instrument, paint, write, or pursue anything creative, and you should treat it as such.

Start paying attention. Does text on an image make sense? Can you distinguish strands of hair from jewelry? Is that person in the background holding something with three hands? LOOK CLOSELY. AI is getting better, but you don't need to accept it in your space.
